Bunker moved to Charleston in 1997 to attend the College of Charleston. It was the best and wisest decision of his life. His mother, Charlotte Caldwell is a local author that has most recently written a book, “Faces of our Local Food” including detailing the processes of the farm table movement here in Charleston.

His younger brother, Hacker Burr, was the headmaster at Charleston Colligate School on John’s Island. All of his family is involved in giving back to the community; from involvement in Coastal Conservation to his cousin starting Enough Pie, a non-profit organization to promote local artists.

He also has two wonderful daughters, Ellie (12) and Annie (13), and strives to set a good example for them every moment.

Bunker has lived all over the world from Boston to Australia to St. John to Telluride but the one place he will never leave is Charleston, SC. He is a proud Charleston local and enjoys the weather, historic downtown, the beaches, golf courses, but most importantly the people.
