David is a Charleston native who graduated from Porter Gaud and was All-State in football and a state champion in pole vaulting. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College, where he played football and was a Sigma Chi alum, with a degree in history. David enjoys all types of hunting, is a member of Stono Ferry Golf Club, and is an avid waterman enjoying sailing, offshore and flats fishing. He is also a die-hard skier, snow and water alike.
David’s a former acolyte at St. Michael's Church and began volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House with his family. During college he was an active fundraiser for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
Growing up with parents who are mainstays in the Charleston antiques and fine arts world and who are actively involved in the real estate arena, David has a great foundation in architectural history and high-end stagings of significant South of Broad properties, and he has a keen understanding of "all things Charleston” that only a local can possess.
